AOS Indigenous Trainees

Australian Offshore Solutions is proud to introduce a groundbreaking initiative, the AOS Indigenous Offshore Trial, aimed at fostering greater Indigenous participation and representation within the maritime sector.

The cornerstone of our initiative is the opportunity for Indigenous applicants to participate in two full 4-week swings on operational offshore vessels where they will experience:

Experiential Learning: Trainees will gain firsthand experience in various roles aboard offshore vessels, providing them with a comprehensive understanding of the industry’s operations.

Skill Development: Through practical training and mentorship, Trainees will develop essential skills necessary for success in the offshore sector, enhancing their employability and career prospects.

Career Pathways: At the conclusion of the program, Trainees will have the opportunity to pursue career paths of their choice within AOS or with one of our Tier 1 client vessels, ensuring continued support and guidance as they advance in their careers.

Three of our Trainees have completed their first swing and with the ongoing support of Sun North Consulting, they will work together to prepare plans in their off swing to map out their future career goals and ongoing supports.

We are proud to pioneer this industry-first initiative with the ongoing support of Inpex Australia, reaffirming our commitment to diversity, inclusion, and Indigenous empowerment within the maritime sector. We invite stakeholders and partners to join us in this journey towards building a brighter and more inclusive future for all.
