Australian Offshore Solutions was excited to sponsor the 2024 Energy Club WA Indigenous Business Networking Forum last fortnight.
In line with our new D&I Strategy, our commitment to diversity extends to all aspects of our operation, promoting opportunities across Race and Ethnicity, Age and Gender and fostering a culture of belonging and innovation.
This event aligns with our internal ambitions by connecting industry peers and guests with both local and national Indigenous businesses and suppliers.
A Welcome to Country set the tone for engagement and MC Kate Macoboy shared the below thoughts:
Be Agile – creating inclusion doesn’t mean making everyone fit within your framework, it means creating a framework where everyone can participate and thrive.
Be Active – taking action is sometimes the hardest part, I understand it can be a process, from both sides, but open communication and clear expectations can help both sides to remain on the path to action.
Be Accountable – everyone in a relationship has responsibilities for making it work, in life or in business. If you say you’re going to do something then do it, don’t overpromise and be clear on what you are trying to achieve.
